that was a great tribute to the soldiers...alive and dead.
last time i visited lebanon, i would see the police and the army around, but i never felt that either group was looked at with respect. they were more or less just there..kind of a joke, if you will. it is about time that some respect is shown to the uniformed personnel for they volunteer to put themselves in harms way for everybody else. god bless all of those that are alive, fighting, and those that have lost their lives.
    peace

    lirun -- pretty much!

in fact, this clip was filmed with no actors -- the soldier is a real soldier from the lebanese army, and all the rest are the people who just happened to be in hamra that day.

  7. JD,
Ever since i first saw this clip, I’m saluting every soldier I’m seeing in the streets. I even stopped my car once at the check point, got out of it, and saluted each and every soldier there.

These are our TRUE heroes, they are the reason why we are still living in Liban exactly like we want, they are the reason why fundamentalism and hate is not terrorizing our community.

God bless each and every one of them, and God bless those who made that clip, for they spoke on our behalf, exactly what we all feel inside, pride and respect to our brave army.....

Stirring every time I see it! Must be the fact that I actually love this country and every instituion that represents what Lebanon CAN be. Gives me something to hold on to and makes me proud.

TO Hizbteezee and all the rest of the dogs...the men who have died trying to preserve what is left are the true martyres!

    AYESH LUBNAN!!!
