So Who Are You Fighting For?

This picture was taken during Hizballah demonstrations against Blair a few days ago. I'll stay on the lookout if any British or American flags show up in any protests...but I doubt any will.

  1. Well, you can't expect Iranians and Palestinians to wave Lebanese flags...

Hell, Hezbollah is one big Iranian Flag in the middle of our Parliament...

  4. Yeah I noticed that too, most pronouncedly at the 'victory' celebrations Hizballah orchestrated at the end of the war.

I think this is a relevant indication as to the true makeup and numbers of Hizballah's support-base.

What I mean to say is that there has been a marked decrease in support from Hizballah's Shiite constituency. Those whose homes have been destroyed and who will have to spend the next year living out of temporary accomodations are surely in no mood to protest or celebrate. What Hizballah relies on for these demonstrations of its numbers and power are basically a bunch of overzealous youth, people it directly employs (through its schools and other social and welfare projects), and those living/working in areas in controls (shopkeepers, mechanics, etc...) who are pressured into hitting the streets in Nasrallah's name.

These hollow and coerced demonstrations are yet another example of Hizballah's unwavering grip on the Lebanon's Shiite community.

If you care so much, why don't you all do something, instead of complain when Israel does what you'd expect it to do when your country attacks it. Hezbollah is the government by the way. The Siniora government only functions because Hezbollah allows it to. Just remember that before you speak up. Remember that Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah is your true leader. Remember that if he wants you dead, you might as well already be dead.

    What an idiotic comment.

Thats what I love about Israeli rhetoric and propaganda, after the Israelis blew the PA's security infrastructure to hell, they asked, nay demanded!!, that Arafat confront the terrorists and dismantle their 'teghogh infghastghuctugh' - its an 'r' u retards say it properly - well how are they supposed to do that after you've just blown up all their police stations!!??

    Same thing applies to Lebanon!
